Troop 56 users a mailing list on Google Groups. This is a public service provided by Google to enable organizations like us to distribute e-mails to everyone in order to let them know what is happening.

Adding your name to the mailing list

If you would like to join the mailing list, go to the home page of the Troop web site and filling your e-mail address in the box marked “Subscribe to Troop 56 Mailing list” then press the button underneath marked subscribe. This will add you name to the mailing list. It will take about 24 hours for you name to be approved, after which you will receive a welcome message.

Sending an email to the Troop

You can send message to the mailing list using the email address LHTT56@googlegroups.com

When you send an email to this address it will be received by everyone in the troop.

Accessing the Troop 56 GooleGroups Site

There is a lot of information which is stared on the Google Groups site which is useful. This includes all the past e-mails that have ever been sent plus a lot of very valuable files. In order to access our Google Groups site you need to register your e-mail address. To do this use the following instructions

At the bottom of any e-mail you have received from the troop mailing list you will see a link marked “Visit the group online” followed by the link which is http://groups.google.com/group/LHTT56 . Click on this link to access Google Groups.
